Re: Batch track select not working
We could not find a problem in testing. Just selecting one channel is not enough to remove the other channel. You need to mute the channel you do not want or you need to use the Channel Mixer to set both channels the same. When you save a stereo file as mono, both channels are mixed down to mono, re...

Re: Changing intervals
There is no easy way to do that. You could use the Auto Cue and Split File feature to break the words into individual files, then use Batch Processing to add some silence to each of the files, then use the File Merger tool to join them back together.

Re: Difference between marker and Play Cursor positions?
The pop is caused by the sound driver. Some sound drivers retain a bit of audio from the last played segment. If that last segment contains high amplitudes (the place where you stopped playback), then the sudden drop to silence at the beginning of next playback causes a pop. You need to play some si...

Re: Need Some Very Patient Assistance
There's a checkbox to "Always use this duration". If that is checked, the duration prompt won't come up anymore. You can use Control Properties, Record tab if you ever need to change it again.

Re: device sampling rate is off
There have been defective sound drivers that record at 48000Hz but report 44100Hz to GoldWave. That will cause such an error. If the error is relatively small, it could be that the clock within the audio hardware is not very accurate (cheap USB devices). That could be a problem if you are doing long...

Re: Opening tracks in external program?
That depends on the host program. VideoMeld can use GoldWave to open audio sections for detailed editing. Other programs may allow that as well if you can specify the program name (such as "C:\Program Files\GoldWave\GoldWave.exe" and a file name to open. If the track is internal or uses a ...

Re: Question about auto recording ...
The "Level activated" feature does that for you. You start the recording right now and the "Level activated" feature pauses and resumes recording based on the audio level.DaveW_1958 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 15, 2024 4:30 pmHowever, I still cant figure out how to start recording automatically, when a call comes in or out.

Yes, cue points are copied and pasted with the audio.

Re: Batch processing Split File... Cue Points
GoldWave does not have a way of using Batch Processing to split files (yet). You'd probably need to use a macro or automation program for that.

We'll check into it. For now maybe you can use the Channel Mixer effect to swap the left and right channels to extract it.

Re: How to mute with automated fade in and fade out
Try using the Volume | Shape Volume effect but create a preset that is the inverse of the "Sharp faded ends" preset (starts a 1 and sharply drops to zero, etc.). Once that is set, you can right-click on the effect icon to select that preset quickly. Another option is to mute the selection ...

Re: Adding captions to the text box
That is an issue with the window scheme. If you change the scheme back to Default under Options | Configure VideoMeld, then the numbers should be visible again. We plan to fix that in the next update.

VideoMeld does not provide that functionality, Depending on what you want to do, you may be able to use FFmpeg or Handbreak or similar command line tools.

Re: Sustain a note
You could trim the end of the file, select a part of the note to sustain, maybe use the Loop Point playback feature to fine tune the selection to get a clean loop point, then copy and paste that selection many times to extend it. You can then use a Fade Out at the end of the file. Some things may ta...
