Re: "Exception: Floating point division by zero"

I see a "Quicktime" inside the message, it could be a mp3 tagged with iTunes. I had some problems with some files, but removing the cover art in iTunes beforehand did help.

Re: Recording 78 rpm records at 33 or 45 rpm

On 78rpm's, there were no RIAA curve applied, so only the inverse RIAA curve is needed. I try always to verify the real bandwidth of the recorded signal, and in most of the cases the upper limit is at 4 kHz very coarse. That is ^probably because the engineers expected the 78rpm's to be played with m...

The problem seems not to occur anymore, but I uninstalled/reinstalled both Goldwave and K-Lite Codec. Only files who get an illustration embedded from iTunes have some trouble, for opening, if I just remove all tags prior to open, it works fine.

I just reinstalled the LAME 3.98 encod dll, and it still does it. I add that the mp3 files open and save with no problem, it's only the equalizer that doesn't work when the sound has been opened from a mp3, and whatever be how much operations have been made before.

Equalizer doesn't like mp3

Windows XP servicepack 3, just moved from GOldwave 5.25 to 5.52 When I try to apply the equalizer in an mp3, the peak level is about 2500:1 (what would do around +68 dB, but Goldwave doesn't convert), and the window is completely full of the envelope. After adjustment at a 0dB peak level, there is a...

A highpass filter 20 Hz steepness 1 will also work very well, and even will remove offset variations within the file.

I generated some noise musics, using complex formulas, like these four ones: http://www.dogmazic.net/m3u/dwncounttitre.php?id=32570&ur=1 simply made from the formula Sin(2*pi*(f+sin(2*pi*f*t))*t) as its name indicates. ____________________________ http://www.dogmazic.net/m3u/dwncounttitre.php?id...

Having a similar problem, when i record my instruments once by once, synchronizing on the initial sound take, I add first some silence at the beginnign and the end of this one. I select the first second, and put just the digit 1 in the expression evaluator, and do the same on the last second. When I...

There is effect ----> stereo ---> reduce vocals, that can sometimes reduce the voice. However, it works only in stereo files, and at the condition that the voice is located in the center. It will not remove completely, at this time there is no reliable system which exists to "unmix" an aud...

Another thing is some SSB mistuning effect, it's a bit complicated, but possible, if ever you need to emulate that. Try with a copy of the voice rather than the original. To avoid with too long a timing, because of the file size needed from step #one. 1) Resample the voice to 192000Hz 2) New window ...

Multiquence can mix as many audio and video tracks simultaneously as you want, each track having its own autonome speed, volume, transparency, etc. That then can be made. You can resize and position any video track to include them in one single video, and use any part of these tracks at any timing p...
