Thank you for the reply. Lyrics are saved OK with .mp3 file after alteration hence the reason for my thinking there was a setting I had missed.
Is thiks an oversight in the design & will this be added/rectified in a future release?

Re: Uneven levels after saving file
HI Chris,
Under Options/File/Format/Default Save Format I select MPEG audio (*mp3) & Layer 3, 44100Hz, 320Kbps stereo and box for Use this format for save as ticked. The 44100Hz is the choice for CDs - I assumed.

Distortion after saving
Hi guys, I have this problem again even after re-installing windows (and updating). Windows Vista & Goldwave 5.67. If I close the file after altering by using the "X", when I reload it's low left & distorted right. If I save/file as, it's ok, unless I batch save using say 4 files a...

Re: Uneven levels after saving file
Hi Gord/Chris,
Saved as .wav OK - but then it saved as .mp3 ok 9 out of 10 times! It seems more random now. I'll try some more files and post result.
Than you,
John

Re: Uneven levels after saving file
Hi Guys,
I tried Options | Plug-in | File | GoldWave* and select the "Joint Stereo" option. All seems to be well now. I've tried around 10 MP3 and so far so good.
I'll post should this change.
Thank you for your invaluable help.

Re: Uneven levels after saving file
Thanks Guys, Procedure I'm doing - have done thousands of times - is: Open Goldwave> drag & drop MP3 file (320/192 bitrate doesn't matter) into Goldwave >cut off silence at start and end (i.e. trim)> save file. At all times this has been perfect. Now on replay, distortion from over recording on ...

Uneven levels after saving file
Following a file save, 44100 hz/MP3 320kbps, the left channel is over-recorded to distortion levels and the right channel has reduced levels. Both OK prior to save. I have installed v5.65.
