Re: cutout an specific spoken phrase repeatition from WAV a
For what it is worth, I had to do something similar some time back. I had several audio files of WW2 airmen's stories. These files contained dozens "ah-em" , "you know" coughs and other annoying sounds. I ended up by copying each file and going through each copy carefully and del...

Re: How to merge many mp3 file to be one song
Suggest you use Videomeld to edit these tracks. Open Videomeld, make two tracks (Shift+Insert) and place your individual music tracks in the right order in alternative Videomeld tracks. You can then arrange the joins by sliding each music track about to make the it sound right. Use the "F7"...

Keyboard shortcuts
I have been using the "Microsoft keyboard shortcuts" option to open some programs such as Audacity, Videomeld, Multiquence and others. They all work fine all the time on the main PC and on my laptop. When I try to do the same (PC and laptop) with Goldwave, it works maybe once or twice, but...

Re: Record start
Open Goldwave, hit F11 and select "Devices" In the Record section of the window, select "Loopback Speakers" and whatever quality settings you were using. (I use the 44100/2/32 and shared setting). Perhaps re-installing is another option. To avoid PC updates messing things up, go ...

Re: Amplify sound
You might already know this, but if you hit the "F7" key you will see a blue line appear on the tracks. Use the mouse to drag this line down to fade the video or audio in and out. Mouse clicking on the blue line inserts an anchor point where you click. I can see you being able to have a th...

Re: Amplify sound
You should be able to do something with the audio track in Goldwave. In the audio track in your Videomeld project, unlink the audio track (the paperclip symbol) and open it in Goldwave. Now you can edit the audio here. If you have not used Goldwave before, the help files are good. I suggest that you...

Re: Save a filter setting?
You can save your own settings for most things. When you open an effect window, you will see a "Presets" box in the lower part of the drop down window. When you have made your preferred slider settings, type your own name for these settings and hit the "+" button. You have now cr...

Re: recording a dvd audio track
You can use Videomeld to edit the audio & video parts of a VOB file. Copy the VOB file onto your hard drive and then open it as a video track in Videomeld. You will see that the video and audio tracks are linked (a paperclip symbol). Left click on one of them to unlink. You can then edit either ...

Re: How to remove the mouse click sound from one file?
I have used Wavecorrector for some years now and it has worked fine for me. It is now a free download so give it a go. You might have to adjust some settings to achieve the desired result, but always work with a copy of your audio file so you do not mess up the original. Audacity, Wavecorrector &...

Re: End to Beginning looping/wrap-around query
Maybe when you have selected the clip to play, hit the "F11" key and you will see in the "play" options area in this drop down window where that you can choose to loop play the selection as many times as you want by clicking the box. On my machine,I have set the "play 2"...

Re: Live strreaming recording?
I have seen this effect once or twice on an old (WinXP) machine but never on my latest Win10 Prof. desktop PC or Win 10 laptops. Updating to Ver 6.30 is a good idea anyway but also check that your operating system is up to date (graphic & sound card drivers). Clean out temp files etc. It is more...

Re: show complete file seletion in the Goldwave window
Maybe this might be the answer for you. Open Goldwave, go to " Options " and select " Windows " At the bottom of this window there is a " Time shown for the View Preset command ". Just check the "all" option. When you open a wavefile, it should now display the...

The drag and drop was only introduced in the latest version. Before that, you could not drag them. Keep smiling!!

Re: Drag-and-drop tab reordering for Sound windows ,how?
Select "window options" from the "Options" drop down menu and check the "tabs" button. Now when you open several audio files, you will see them listed along the top edge of the sound window rather than having them tiled. You can now drag the tabs around to alter their p...

Re: Recording And Unused Channels
OK - I see what you are doing now, didn't realise you had a 5 ch sound card, I only have a 2 channel one. I think you are right in asking for a change in Goldwave presets. Perhaps you might try opening a really long new 2 channel empty wavefile and use your own custom keyboard presets to start recor...
