PNG appears to be in working order Aha! Here's what I'd do (Caution - in non-computer contexts, don't do what I'd do. Usually. ): After setting a restore point :!: , I'd examine/compare all actions for png files to the gif & jpg filetype actions, copy/paste & see if that enables loading into...

Topic: how to convert a male voice into a female voice
Replies: 4

There are DX plugins that do a very adequate job of altering pitch & formants to make a male sound like a female, & vice versa. Changing just the pitch makes the voice sound like it's coming out of a tiny little man; the formants, which give a voice the timbre, or tonal quality as discussed above ar...

Hi, Cap. I'm a WinME orphan, too, & I'll try to help. You provided some good info in your post re: your setup. The fact that you have those filetypes open in ACDSee by default is making my spider sense tingle a bit, but if it worked for you previously, it should work now. (The WinME default is Image...

Welcome, Echo.
Is reverb in GoldWave good?
Why, yes. Yes, it is. Especially as it's included at no charge with GW.

You can use other reverbs via DX plugins, too...you're not limited to the built-in reverb.

PHP is a "language" for web pages to read & write data from/to a database. It's not audio. It's like asking how to convert a Word .doc file to music...it just ain't happening, pal.

Hi Sandy.

"cda" files are not audio....they're pointers to where each track's data resides on an audio cd. You'd want to use Goldwave's CD Reader tool to grab those tracks & save them...I'd save to wav first, then convert the wavs to MP3.

Hello Eric.

It's probably a Fraunhofer codec....check to see what Windows Media Player is using to encode to mp3 (look in WMP's Options), & that's probably what GW is using.

SUPER is aptly named, but watch out for its attempts to access your network & the internet without asking. I crippled its "reaching out" via my firewall. Other than that little downside, the program works very well.

People here are very helpful, but you're not telling us much...also, you're assuming everyone knows the sound you're talking about. Lots of us have not seen "Saw". (I'm not going to see it, either....the last thing this world needs is more examples of sadistic brutality, let alone a "how-to" movie s...

Yeah, I have to be precise as I'm dealing with spoken sentences. Are there any sampling rate/bitrate conversions happening before you save your files? Are you altering the time or pitch? It might help if we knew of any processing you might be doing before you save. Also, what "flavor" of wav (which...
