Re: CD section empty?
CD audio in Multiquence is played through the analog output on the CD drive. If there is no cable connecting the CD drive audio output to the sound card, or the CD volume is muted under the Windows Volume Control accessory, you will not be able to hear the audio. Programs like Windows Media Player p...

Re: is there a way to erase all que points by one command
There is no way to delete all cue points in a single command yet. You can hold down the Alt+D key on the Cue Points window to quickly delete cue points one at a time.

Re: Using an instrumental to remove music...
Inverting and mixing is the correct approach, but if you are working with MP3 files, then there is no reliable way to get perfect results.
The electric guitar may have been recorded equally on both the left and right channels, placing it in the same "center channel" as the vocals.

Re: goldwave using waveout?
GoldWave v4 uses waveOut, but GoldWave v5 uses DirectSound. If you are using v5 and are still getting pops, try checking the "high latency" option (press the F11 key, Device tab). Also make sure the correct playback driver is selected.

It is being considered, but development on the file plug-in has not started yet.

Re: Saving as a Wav. file with more than one track.
A track in Multiquence is different than a track on a CD. Multiquence tracks are layers of audio that are all played at the same time. CD tracks are played one after the other, sequentially. You can use the Solo button [1] on the first track, then use the File | Save as wave command to save that to ...

Re: Crash, Crash, Crash
Make sure you have the latest versions of both GoldWave and LAME installed. Search your system for all copies of the LAME_ENC.DLL file and compare their dates. Try working with different Wave files to see if the error occurs only with certain files.

Re: Problems creating CONTIGUOUS MP3 files
Unfortunately it is an unavoidable result of the MP3 encoding process. Very short silences occur at both ends of the MP3 file. If you save in 16 bit Wave format or Ogg Vorbis format, no silences occur and you get seemless transitions between files.

Re: New Guy Really Needs Your Help with video sound.
GoldWave can read audio within most video files, but it cannot write the modified audio back to the file. You'd have to save it in an audio file, then recombine the audio with the video using separate software. The Time Warp and Pitch effects will correct the voices. There is no way to separately ed...

Re: Monkey's Audio Support
A new file plug-in would have to be developed to use Monkey's Audio format in GoldWave. That is something I am considering, but it won't be available in the near future.

Re: Need a little help with mp3
You can manually set cue points in GoldWave by right-clicking on the black cue point slot just above the time axis in the Sound window. Another method is to play the file and press Ctrl+Q to drop a cue point. Once you have all the cue points set, you can use the Edit | Cue Point | Split File command...

Re: Time warp effect is changing pitch
Be sure to select the Similarity or FFT tab before choosing OK to process the effect. Either of those will use an algorithm that preserves the pitch.
