Re: could be added a full screen mode?

Would that be much different than maximizing the window?

Re: How to import Toolbar (and other) settings from previous GW installation?

A while ago a change was made to the way the toolbars are arranged. That required saving the toolbars differently, so the previous settings could not be used. Unfortunately you'll need to rearrange them manually.

Re: Remove clip within a section

You'll need to use Edit | Split. You'd move the edit marker to the starting point of the part you want to remove, use Split, then move the marker the end of the part and use Split again. Now you can select the section and delete it.

Re: id3 track field is erased for WAV format

Have you tried using the CD Reader tool in GoldWave? That may preserve the track information.

Re: Naming cue points

To create a cue file, you'd use Tool | Cue Points, then choose the Export button. You can open that file in a text editor such as Notepad and copy/paste the titles and save the file. You'd then delete the cues in GoldWave and use the Import button to read the cues with the updated names.

Re: Noise reduction

Playback starts from the current time so that you can hear the results of noise reduction at that time. If you are working on a long file with varying noise, it becomes important to have a way of controlling the starting point for previewing. Currently preset are the only way to store the shape. You...

We are still not able to duplicate the error. Can you think of any other details that may be relevant? Are there any times where it works without error on your computer?

Re: FreeDB is no more

Note that "freedb.goldwave.ca" can be used as the server in the CD Reader tool options.

BobStein: After entering the correct titles in the CD Reader, you'd choose the "Save Titles" button.

Re: Floating-point error in Spectrum Filter (6.52)

I'm not seeing that kind of a problem on our systems. Does the problem still occur after a fresh restart? Does it happen with different files or only with specific files (possibly with different sampling rates)?

Re: Curious reaction when saving (GW 6.51)

One issue that has occurred in the past is that when you drag-and-drop a file from Explorer, Explorer keeps a lock on the file, preventing GoldWave from saving over the original. Have you tried selecting a different file in Explorer (or closing Explorer) before trying to save the file in GoldWave?

Re: GW crashes entire system v6.52/Win10/XeonCPU/NvidiaK4000

It is most likely a hardware/driver issue. There is no way a program can cause that kind of a shutdown without a major underlying problem in the system. What sound driver is selected in GoldWave ( Options | Control Properties , Device tab)? If it is Realtek, be sure to get an updated sound driver. I...

Re: Soundwave video output

We've been considering adding a way to generate a simple video file using the cover art image (or visuals) so that audio can be uploaded to YouTube and Facebook. We'd need to see more interest in such a feature. The alternative would be to use VideoMeld, which can record your screen and mix the audio.

Re: GoldWave 6.52 issue using "Save as" to write an audio file

Maybe a different system decoder is opening the file. If you encounter the problem in the future, check the file format details shown in the status bar to make sure it is described as a WMA file. If it isn't then some other decoder is handling the file before GoldWave's WMA plug-in gets it. Changing...
