Re: play selected interval (!) in endless loop?

Right clicking on the middle play button (I think), will allow you to select playback options. Among them is loop. That playback button will then loop the selection.

Re: Recording from a cassette tape - will GW separate the tr

If you have a minimum amount of silence between tracks, the auto-cue feature will mark all of these for you as CUE points. You can then adjust them if needed, delete false triggers, and have Goldwave split the track based on cue points. You can also export the CUE file for use in other software.

Re: MP3 loaded in GoldWave longer than that opened in a play

This file is completely screwed up. For starters, it appears to have been split from a larger mp3 file based on the mp3split signature. MP3Split must have malformed everything. No...I take that back. This is two entirely different encodes from different encoders with different bitrates that were imp...

Re: How to merge many mp3 file to be one song

If the files are all the same bitrate and you're not worried about volume equalization...then using something like mp3 direct-cut to merge them directly is a better option. Much like MPEG video can be split up in to smaller sections...the same goes for MPEG Audio. You don't get sample precision edit...

Because it sounds simple...but it's not. There have been things attempted in the past...the ability to do such a task is still not easy. Converting speech to text isn't 100% accurate. The other problem is the fact once it goes through compression...things change. You can't say "find me every ma...

Re: id3 track field is erased for WAV format

Look....this was explained.

There is no standard for tagging WAV. Either Goldwave doesn't support whatever dbpoweramp is writing in to the file....or dbpoweramp isn't writing tags at all.

What your other programs do don't matter.

Re: id3 track field is erased for WAV format

From dbpoweramp's documentation: Wave files can store limited (choice of fields) ID Tags in a Wave LIST chunk, or a full range id ID Tags in an 'id3 ' chunk (which is an id3v2 tag). By default both types of tags are written for maximum compatibility. Not all programs can read these chunks. Also...yo...

Re: id3 track field is erased for WAV format

WAV does not have a standard method of storing id3 tag information. Some programs implement some form of tagging for wav, but with no standard results vary.

It is not a bug.

Re: ia sample rate question related to audio card (internal)

if i want a wasapi exclusive event setting should be these ? it's enough to select 24 or ieee32 for float 32 right? As I said earlier in the thread, picking anything other than "Shared" will get you WASAPI Exclusive Event should your system be configured for it. Typically, by default, Win...

Re: CUE export issue

If you start with WAV files...Goldwave should write a WAV file in the file info in the CUE. Having an MP3 indicates you started with MP3 at some point and added to it. Like Doug said...CUE is largely a text file, you can edit the filename afterwards. Try saving the entire thing as WAV first, then ex...

Therr is a drastically good chance they will never sync. You may find after speed adjustment that the sync will drift. This is due to clock differences in the device that digitized the recording.

Re: Difference between Position in Cue Points and Exports

Exactly depends on your definition. You can (likely) place a marker in Goldwave with sample precision...but a single CD frame is 1/75th of a second...or a difference of 588 samples, .01333333 seconds. This is all the accuracy I've ever needed, and Ive never used CUE sheets for anything except export...

Re: Difference between Position in Cue Points and Exports

I'm going to cut to the chase since I know what's confusing you:

time format.

In the cue-points window, you're getting time in decimal format. However, CUE sheets were intended for AudioCD creation, so they store time in frames per second, which a CD is 75 frames a second.
