Problems with LightScribe

Post by NuclearNemesis »

I recently added an external LightScribe burner to my system. If I try to access rip a cd in that drive while using Goldwave, my system crashes. Any suggestions?

Welcome, NN.

Please give us some details, like make/model of drive, settings, etc.

I would guess that it's a software conflict, rather than a problem with the burner itself. When you installed the lightscribe software did you also install some new "drag & drop" burning software? Sometimes these programs can "take over" your burner.

If you can't get GoldWave to work, here a couple of FREE CD ripping programs:

It's TST Corp, SH-S812M. Not sure what you want for settings. When I go to details in the setting screen, I find this:
USBSTOR\CDROM&VEN_TSSTCORP&PROD_CD/DVDW_SH-S182M&REV_SB05\000000000001&0

What are the crash details? Is it related to a USB driver?
