Why does every new version reset the default pre-sets?

Hello, every time I download a new version of goldwave the default pre-sets are re-set to factory settings. Why is this? I do not use the goldwave default settings, I change them to reflect my preference for default settings. Thanks, Bob

One thing you can do is to backup settings before updating GoldWave (use GoldWave Setup from the Start menu). You can then restore the settings after the update installed.

Also if you change any presets, be sure to save them under a different name (save as "Bob Default" instead of "Default" so that you don't lose the changes when updating). You'll still have to select the preset, but it won't get reset.

All of my custom presets have custom names. They don't get overwritten when I install a GoldWave update.

I've been using Goldwave for many years and I simply keep a list of my standard settings such as the view (zoom, etc.), control properties, and the like, on a piece of paper in my Goldwave file. A bit old fashioned but it still does the job!!!!
