Lame encoder problem
Lame encoder problem
I have Goldwave 5.70. Right now when I save a wav file to .mp3 goldwave is using lame 3.98. I want to use the latest lame encoder which is 3.99.5 which I downloaded. I followed the instructions and have placed the lame_enc.dll file in the goldwave folder and also the windows system32 folder but GW still uses the older version. What am I doing wrong? I am running windows 7 64 bit. I made sure I downloaded the 32bit version of lame.

Re: Lame encoder problem
Try searching the "C:\Users\All Users\GoldWave" folder or other Users folders for a copy of the old LAME_ENC.DLL file and replace that with the new one.

I don't see where the "all users" folder is. I see C:\Users and then 2 folders: one is "public" and the other one is my name.

Then have a look in "Public". "Documents and Settings\All Users" is the old (XP and earlier) location for those things.dpriest wrote:I don't see where the "all users" folder is. I see C:\Users and then 2 folders: one is "public" and the other one is my name.
