hi,
sometimes, i need to cut/split a mp3 file in VBR.
each time i do that, goldwave rencode it, so i guess i loose again some quality due to multiple decode-recode of the original track.
is there a way to cut/split a mp3 file without rencode it using goldwave ?
is there a way to cut a file without re-encode it?

No. All "regular" audio editors work with uncompressed PCM (and usually in floating-point).
Try mp3DiretCut (FREE!!!).

soemtimes, you have a hidden track with a big silence before, so maybe there is a way to cut a file "properly" without decode and without add a error-code in the mp3.

As DougDbug mentioned, you'd need to use a program designed specifically for working directly with MP3 blocks (without decoding). Those type of programs can just discard the silent blocks and not affect quality at all.
