...from GoldWave 6.40 on Win 10. First time this has happened in 15+ years using GoldWave. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

Does that happen in v6.41 (and even after a system restart)?

Yes, it still happens - even after a system re-start. I rolled back to v6.21 and all is well.
Thanks.

I see it too, on 6.40 and 6.41. When closing Goldwave, for maybe a quarter of a second you'll see the little "busy" wheel, and Goldwave reduces to whatever smaller screen real estate it took up before using the "maximize" button next to the X on top right of the page. It happens quite fast, perhaps due to using an SSD for the C drive.

I thought the 1903 "up" date  might be the cause of it but other programs don't do it.

That seems to be related to the GWVST plug-in. If you use GoldWave Setup (on the Windows menu) to disable effect plug-ins, the busy wheel does not occur. I'm looking into that for the next update.

The brief change in window size is required to save the normal (non-maximized) location and size of the window when the program closes.
