Find and Replace Peak Volumes

Post by maztergee »

I couldn't find a topic like this any where in the forum so I thought I'd ask.

Does anyone know of a way to 'Find and Replace' peaks in the file. i.e. There is a 'Find' option, to find Peaks, but then you have to change the volume manually on every peak.. Batch Processing does not have this option either. The Replace Edit option has no relation.

A bit like Finding Text in a Text File and replacing with other text,, .

thanks in advance. :)

Have you tried a limiter?
I don't want to read the manual either, but, then, it isn't my problem, is it?

Yeah... Limiting is a fast kind of dynamic compression so with GoldWave try Effect -> Compressor/Expander and try the Reduce Peaks or Reduce Loud Parts preset. You can tweak the settings if you don't get the exact results you're looking for.
