0dB reference level used for Spectrum display in Control screen

Post by jhidley »

I'm looking at some signals with the Spectrum display in the Control screen. The incoming signal varies from -1 to +1.

There appears to be no way of setting the 0dB reference level for the Spectrum display. The only thing that I can do is to change the lower limit. This results in me having to set the lower limit to -150dB so that I can see the spectrum. The result is that the spectrum is vertically compressed a lot due to the very large vertical scale.

To fix this, I see two options.

I need to be able to change the 0dB reference level.

Or I need to be able to change the upper level limit on the Spectrum display.

Are either of these possible to do?

Presumably -1 to +1 just means your main window scale is set to Normalised.

Your sound is obviously very quiet. Maximise it before you look at its spectrum. You can always Undo afterwards.
