It doesn't look like there is any keyboard control for moving the move marker? While zoomed out shift+arrow or num pad keys should be able to move the move marker several frames at a time and when zoomed in you should be able to use keys to advance frame by frame and then use a key to split. It would also be good to be able to open the preview screen at any time and move it around in its own window.

Moving the marker with the keyboard will be added in an update. There are plans to add a permanent preview window as well (there's a Screen setting under Options | Playback for that).
