How to output 5.1 audio

Post by jt21228 »

Hello. I have n mpeg-4 video file with ac3 audio file. I am trying to get it to play a different audio file in each of the 5.1 channels but it will only play the left side or rightside in all 5.1 channels.

Is there a video or some instruction somewhere about doing this in videomeld? Do I have to convert the video to a special format or something before it can be used in videomeld?

Here is how I set it up: audio in each of

Project option audio: 5.1
Playback Settings audio playback device: LG-BDHT - This is the hdmi dvd player with surroundsound
Tracks: 6 audio, 1 video
Select audio track individually > settings> Set each one to a different channel

Thank you

You'd have to save a Wave for 5.1 audio support. A future update will support 5.1 audio in AAC format on recent versions of Windows 10 (Microsoft has recently added support for more channels to the AAC encoder).
