Align Caption Vertically / Middle

Post by Joe Giaquinto »

How do you align text in a caption/section? I have a single row and column with some text and when I select middle for alignment vertically, nothing happens when I preview the movie. The text is still stuck at the top of the window. My goal is to align the caption in the movie vertically when it plays. Is this align-middle feature used for some other purpose? Is there a special effect to use for text alignment instead? The help document doesn't explain anything on this feature.

Vertical alignment is used when there are adjacent columns. If one column is taller than another, vertical alignment controls how the text is aligned in the shorter column. You can add a Position effect to the section to position the text anywhere in the window.

I figured it out. I had to change the effect range and then set the values. Now the text is moving to the center.
