some video's don't playback

Post by maurice »

Hi,

I just downloaded the evalution of multiquence; seems like the thing I need.

As a test I created two tracks and filled each of them with a video section (mp4 files). Both videos play ok in quicktime.

The first video is being recognized ok.

The second video gives troubles. When playing my project, it doesn't show up. In the section view there is only one frame being displayed, while the first videos displays fills up the section with several frames. However, if I right cilck the section and go to "section options", I can browse through the small preview window ok. Just beneath that preview window (still in the section options), it says: 1280x720, 0.00fps. The first video that does plays right, shows 1280x720, 23.98fps.

What is going on here, and is there a known solution?
Thank you!

It's possible that the second video uses a variable frame rate, which is not supported by Multiquence. Unfortunately I don't know of a way to make it work except by re-encoding it with other software to a fixed frame rate.

Another thing you can try is to change the frame rate under "Options | Playback" to a higher rate to see if that makes any difference.
