VST Format plug-in w/GW?

Post by PresMark »

I want to use the Antares Auto Tune 5 plug-in, but I'm told that GW uses DirectX and so it won't work. Anyone know a way to use the VST format w/GW? Or is there a way?

Thanks for any info. I really don't want to go to another program just to use the Auto Tune.

I recently added a new entry in the FAQ about that. You can find it here.

I've downloaded the SpinAudio wrapper and it installed it in a directory called /Spin Audio/VSTDX Wrapper/*.* Of course, it doesn't show up in the DirectX choices, only the Real Player plugin. Do I need to place the wrapper into the GW directory? And if so, exactly where?

And is this the right wrapper, or is there a better or more compatible one?

Thanks for the help!

It does not matter where the wrapper plug-in is installed. After installing it, restart GoldWave, then use the Options | Plug-in | Effect | DirectX command. It should be listed there. This topic may help as well.
