Using 6.41 I am recording some podcasts which I want to save at 256kbps stereo. After I stop recording, I do File > Save As and the 'Save Sound As' window appears. I then select MP3 in the 'Save as type' field, and then click 'Attributes' to select 2556 kbps stereo. And finally I click 'Save' and am done.
I can't seem to find a way to have my desired attributes be the default 'save as' configuration. With everything that GoldWave can do, I'm sure it can create a default setting and that I'm just overlooking something.
Thanks.
Creating Default Settings for Save As
Re: Creating Default Settings for Save As
Try going to the "options" drop down menu and select the "file formats" option and you can set what you want there. You can also have a look at drop down menu "windows options" and in the miscellaneous section make sure that you have the "update default preset" option checked.

Perfect! That looks like it did the trick.
Thanks very much.
